This is my 2D Platformer Project.

I Made The Following Significant Modifications:

  1.  Revamped the main menu screen
    1. Added to the instructions page
      1. Gave information regarding controls and how to play
      2. Introduced a tutorial level for the player to try before jumping into the main game.
    2. Created working navigation between all new screens and old alike.
  2.  Created a Tutorial Level 
    1. Added text mesh pro labeling to guide the player on how to play.
    2. Created a simple but unique level design that is very new player friendly.
    3. Showcased all aspects of what a player could expect during the game
  3. Created Level 2
    1. Created the level to be much larger than the tutorial level
    2. Tried to incorporate unique level design that leads the player where to go but doesn't directly tell them
    3. Increased the difficulty of the level
      1. Added many more mobs
      2. Added unique platforming challenges
      3. Created a "boss" style level that did one more damage and had much more health when compared to generic enemies.

Things I considered adding:

  • A pop up when you first click start game that asks the player if they would like to play the tutorial first before heading to the first level.
  • Unique movement for the boss, or a boss battle with its own arena and special attacks.
  • An additional level
  • A story line for the game to follow
